Here is a brief introduction to my approach:

I begin by conducting ecological research to understand the organisms specific to the location of the project, and any unique qualities of the surrounding landscape. (<1 week)

After gaining a deeper understanding of the plants and animals native to the area, and discussing the preferences of the designer and homeowners (i.e. sizing and color), I begin ideating a basic composition using pen and paper. (1-2 weeks)

Once the composition is approved, I carve the woodblock, recording parts of the process that I will use to create a video at the end of the project to share with the client. Finally, I print the image, and depending on the location of the client, I invite them to join me for the printing process so they can take part in the joy of printmaking. (2-8+ weeks, largely dependent on the size of the woodblock)
